Our heroes share the same rock-and-roll dream of stardom, and are inseparable: David is a talented white guitarist and singer while T.K. is his ambitious black manager. Alas, there is little money available to live on, let alone to promote our fair-haired would-be star.
Wouldn`t you know it, T.K. wins a trip for two to the land of musical dreams from a radio contest-to Los Angeles. But the trip is for couples only, and since the star must always be visible, it is the manager who must pretend to be a woman in order to fulfill both their dreams! (and you thought that T.K. had his hands full with a very young Zack Morris back in the day!)
It need hardly be said that T.K. meets the woman of his dreams while in drag, and must balance his real appearance with his duties as an escort to his friend so they may both live long and prosper in Hollywood.
The truth comes out in the end, but more importantly, our guys` best song is stolen by a sleazy producer and given to an over-the-hill rocker who desperately needs a comeback. Thanx to the honest veteran musician, who decides to give proper credit for his new hit, our boys grab the first rung on the ladder of success, get the girls and exact appropriate revenge on the evil producer dude.
