Joyce, an aspiring high school reporter, is turned down for a prestigious summer internship, she thinks due to blatent sex discrimination. To prove her point she goes undercover in another school as a guy, with the help of horny younger brother Billy, who teaches her how to walk, talk and act like a "real man."

She enters the male underground and hijinx ensue as she connives to avoid detection and to advance her career as a male reporter. She is again rejected for the same job, so discrimination is not her problem-she must look elsewhere for answers.

Joyce befriends William, a shy, sensitive guy, and with her stereotypical tough guy mannerisms, teaches him to be more masculine and assertive (much like Naomi Wolf has attempted to do to, uh-that is for, current Democratic Presidential Candidate Al Gore). When William`s date comes onto Joyce it begs the question: if it`s a girl pretending to be a boy and neither sheds clothing while "making out", would a lesbian falling down in a forest make a sound?

Meanwhile Joyce`s distant boyfriend comes for a visit, causing much confusion and plot complications (while continuing and creating an incredible cadence of 'C' sounds. Alliteration is amusing, don`t you agree?). Joyce goes to the Prom with her best girlfriend, who is in on the secret, so they can keep an eye on William and his date. Our shemale hero gets into a fight with the bullying prom king while standing up for her new friend, causing him, the boyfriend and little brother to come to her aid.

Our heroine goes back to her real life and writes a killer story about her experiences, earning her the prized internship. The final piece of the puzzle falls into place when little brother hooks her up with the platonic guy friend and protege, whom she`d just molded into her ideal image of a good, strong man. True love reigns supreme!
