A fight with his girlfriend and dismissal from college force our hapless hero to move back home and live under his strict father`s rules, involving getting a job and giving up his punk rock attire.
The newly clean-cut protagonist gets a pizza delivery job and soon encounters every red-blooded American boy`s dream: a willing, nurturing older woman who can provide initiation into the ways of love. She enjoys his passions, teaches him how to dress, and even gives him several references with other eager women. Now Patrick delivers pizza and services rendered to certain special customers. Life is Beautiful.
Alas, things become complicated when the former girlfriend moves back to town, and is pursued by a preppie guy; in addition, our boy`s parents seem to be separating, causing much confusion.
On what is supposed to be his last paid "delivery", when he`ll have his full tuition and board completely paid for the next few years, the customer is his own unhappy mother. He escapes before she sees him, but he is now being chased by a couple of jealous husbands who are out to seek revenge.
With a lot of luck, Patrick outruns the husbands, patches up his parents` marriage, and gets the girl to boot!
Trivia: cameo by E.G. (Elizabeth) Daily.
