She`s a big city gal and he`s a farm boy who`s made good, and both are in this particular elite college because of a very selective, unique scholarship based on, not academic or athletic ability, but on ...debating skills. They are instantly thrown together, with other teammates, but Kirk and Jami, both having talent and a preference for personal combat, begin to dominate the team. Who will be the team captain: he, she or perhaps one of the older, established members?

The ultimate challenge comes when the team earns the chance to debate Harvard on the controversial issue of abortion before several Justices of the Supreme Court. The seriousness and solemnity of the occaision drive the erstwhile enemies into an alliance of mutual convenience in order to defeat a common foe, and afterward into each others` arms for they have secretly been in love the whole time!

By the way, they also win the debate.

Trivia: Kirk was the star of TV`s Growing Pains, one of the better FFTT TV shows of all time. Jami should be well-known by now to FFTTM fans. Peter is the son of Dom, and was in Free Ride and Making the Grade. Also, he starred on TV`s 21 Jump Street with Johnny Depp.
