This is a re-release of a B-grade sex comedy motivated by the fact that two of the minor stars had become well-known in the meantime, and could be marketed as headliners for the reissue of this small production.
Our boys are seniors in college who are about to graduate, and who dread life in the real world involving work, deadlines and alarm clocks. Heck-they`ve got a groovy group house and a live-in nympho maid (Priscilla): who`d want to give all that up? They concoct a grand scheme with the assistant of a brilliant, reclusive research professor to conduct a fake sex study in his name, and to live off the generous government grants that soon roll in.
It works much better than anyone had hoped. As soon as word spreads, students began to pay our "graduate students" to be included in the survey in order to have guaranteed access to safe, guilt-free "scientific" sex. They`ve created the Best Little Whorehouse on Campus!
When the whole operation gets to be too big for our guys to manage alone they contact some corrupt local officials and businessmen for financial backing and protection. Alas, the new partners become greedy and try to eliminate our boys, teaching them that they`re in way over their heads.
They destroy all traces of their work, fondly bid farewell to their female companion, and go out and try a more honest line of work: they become gigolos (at least they`re pimping themselves now).
Trivia: cameo by Jeff Bridges.
Comment: despite the crude subject matter, one must appreciate this early depiction of pure hijinx, and the motivation of trying to avoid working life at all costs is certainly a strong one in many modern FFTTM`s. Check out the Trivia/Etc section for a notable quote from this film.
