Teen Wolf (1985) Paramount

Written by Joseph Loeb and Matthew Wiseman, Directed by Rod Daniel

Starring: Michael J. Fox, James Hampton, Scott Paulin, Susan Ursitti, Jerry Levine, Jim MacKrell, Lorie Griffin, Jay Tarses

Michael is a happy-go-lucky high school student, and a fair athlete to boot. He`s been through the usual stages of puberty, but begins to notice a few rather unusual bodily changes. Hair seems to grow everywhere (except his palms, thank goodness), and only a serious talk from his old man can set things right again.

It seems that a little werewolf blood has entered into their family`s male lineage, but it`s not the full moon that brings it out-any sort of emotional excitement may engage the animal within. Michael tries to keep the wolf under control, but we`re talking about a teenager here, so you know he`s gonna have to go through a few trials before he succeeds.

The wolf comes out in the middle of a basketball playoff game, and becomes an instant hero. Lon Chaney III wins a berth in the state playoffs for his team, but begins to lose himself, as his smart and pretty gal pal tells him.

Thus motivated, Michael gets rid of the wolf as best he can, and he and the team win honestly. Each team member realizes his full potential and achieves one or more of his highest goals. Also, Michael gets the girl.
