As hard as it is to imagine, there was once a time when there were no CD-rom games and no Play Stations as we know them today. Nor were there affordable home VCRs, and the few we had were all Beta! You had to go out just to see a decent movie or play any game more sophisticated than Pong.
You can imagine the importance of an old-fashioned video arcade under these primitive circunstances. This particular teen hangout achieves a certain notoriety while the grandson of the owner is temporarily in charge, attracting police attention. The battle lines are drawn as the forces of decency and debauchery clash over the issue of the arcade`s future.
After much manuevering, it all comes down to a video match to be played between two champions representing each side of the dispute. Our hero, fighting for the arcade, manages to overcome a long-hidden fear of video to win the match, save his family`s business and ensure future fun for all his teenage friends.
Huzzah! Huzzah!
