Our boys are a couple of hip, ironic, computer-savvy ne`er-do-wells from Detroit who lose their fast food jobs and well-designed apartment on the same day. Coincidently, Haim`s crazy old uncle writes to invite them to come and stay at the old family business, a dilapidated resort motel at the beach.
Uncle Geoffrey is a former B actor in black and white pirate serials, beseiged by the co-star whom he defeated in all those epics. Robert, the old screen foe, is much more successful at developing than swordfighting, and endangers uncle`s livelihood.
The boys have seriously exaggerated their credentials in their letters, and everyone at the resort expects them to save the day, not knowing that they are simply fools. After accidently undermining the resort, the Coreys spring into action, find the real hidden pirate treasure, and pay off the overdue mortgage. The resort is saved, and they get the girls!.
Trivia: cameo by Roger Clinton (alas, his singing and acting careers were permanently crippled by the antics of his buffoonish older brother.)
