There are a couple of ne`er-do-wells loose in the Southland, set to wreak their own special brand of havoc upon the general populace. They party, partake of women and probably even double park! Good times will roll on forever, it seems, until some hijinx gone awry cause an older friend and father figure to be shot and killed while protecting them from their own hustles.
Thus begins the parting of the ways for Emilio and Craig, as the latter straightens up and gets a regular job. Emilio, his virtual stepbrother, who has been taken in by Craig`s family, becomes even more oriented toward the street life and all its temptations, but hides it from his surrogate family. The last straw is reached when Emilio is caught with hard drugs in the house and admits that he caused the near death by OD of the little brother of Craig`s straight new girlfriend, Kim.
Upon being kicked out of the house, he is immediately arrested for DUI, and more drugs earn him a long prison term. After a final farewell at prison, Craig makes one final gesture of youthful defiance to get it out of his system, then settles into the respectable middle class routine he now finds satisfying.
Trivia: Kim Delaney now stars in the major TV series NYPD Blue. Also, Craig was once a preppie and harrassed Lea Thompson and Eric Stoltz in Some Kind of Wonderful.
