This remake of the early 60`s classic starring Pop Icon Connie Francis features a quartet of cute northeastern college coeds who venture down to Ft. Lauderdale for spring break: two spicy, slutty types and two slightly snobby, class-conscious gals, but all four are hard and fast friends. (Whatever and whatnot!)
The party gals seek out female hijinx and capers, while the other two focus on setting the lovely Lisa up with her partner`s (rich) classical musician cousin, Howard. However Russell, the ambitious rock and roll hitch-hiker the gals picked up on their way down to Florida, has designs on our fair-haired heroine. Sounds like a recipe for fun in the sun!
Both boys fight for Lisa`s affections, stopping temporarily to bail out the party girls who`ve gone just a bit too far. Our guys find out that they respect and like each other, and cooperate on a great rock/classical fusion presentation in the grand concert hall.
Alas, Lisa must chose one guy, and for once both the snob and the slob seem equally appealing, on different levels. She goes for the rocker, of course, though she likes the classical guy as a friend. In the end the gals go back to college, and the guys have their own careers to consider, but Lisa and Russell promise to stay 2gether 4ever, and they seem to mean it. Does it mean that we`ll see a FTTM marriage made in heaven? Not now, but soon!
